São Paulo is home to the largest Jewish community in Brazil (roughly 60,000+), and the great majority of its kosher food scene is packed into the adjacent central neighborhoods of Higienópolis, Santa Cecília, Pacaembu and Bom Retiro, with a secondary cluster in Jardins/Jardim Paulista and a few venues in Morumbi. You can find dairy Italian and sushi spots, meat delis and grills, falafel and Israeli snack bars, French bakeries and gelato, most within walking distance in Higienópolis. Almost every venue carries a visible hechsher, most commonly from the Sephardi congregation Beit Yaacov's kashrut department or from BDK.

Rio de Janeiro's kosher scene is small and clusters almost entirely in Copacabana, where the Clube Israelita Brasileiro on Rua Barata Ribeiro anchors most of the certified dining. Visitors will find a glatt meat grill, a kosher sushi restaurant, a lunch bistro and a kosher bakery, generally under local Rabbinate or Chabad supervision. Options thin out on Fridays and over Shabbat, so it is worth planning meals ahead.
