Kosher Restaurants in Nice
Nice has one of the largest Jewish communities on the French Riviera, and its kosher scene is concentrated in the Quartier des Musiciens near the train station and avenue Jean Medecin. Most venues are certified by the Beth Din / Grand Rabbinat de Nice (the local Consistoire, ACIN), with a few under the Loubavitch (Chabad) rabbinate. You will find meat grills, dairy pizza and sushi spots, Israeli falafel and street food, plus kosher bakeries and caterers.
Kosher venues cluster tightly in the Quartier des Musiciens, along streets named for composers (Rossini, Meyerbeer, Paganini, Auber) and on avenue Georges Clemenceau, all within walking distance of the Grande Synagogue on rue Gustave Deloye and the Gare de Nice. A second, smaller cluster sits north around boulevard de Cessole and boulevard Joseph Garnier in the Liberation area. Nearly all kosher restaurants close Friday afternoon and Saturday for Shabbat, so plan Friday-night and Shabbat meals via caterers or bakery takeaway (Le Kineret, Amouyal) in advance.
