Mexico City
123Mexico City has one of the largest and most observant Jewish communities in Latin America, and its kosher dining scene is correspondingly deep. Establishments cluster in Polanco and Lomas del Chamizal inside the city proper, and across the western edge in Tecamachalco and Interlomas. The overwhelming majority of venues carry certification from Kashrut Maguen David (KMD), the dominant community authority, with additional oversight from the community Vaad and Jabad (Chabad).

11Playa del Carmen has the densest cluster of independent kosher restaurants in the Riviera Maya, most within walking distance of Chabad of Playa del Carmen in Centro. The Chabad house runs a glatt kosher restaurant and market, while privately owned meat and dairy spots (a steakhouse, a smokehouse, grills, dairy cafes and bakeries) operate along Avenida 20, Calle 28 and 5th Avenue.

4Cancun has a small but active year-round kosher scene along Blvd. Kukulcan in the Hotel Zone, with a dairy Italian spot and a couple of meat grills, plus the Chabad of Cancun community nearby. Certification is split between the national agency KMD (Kosher Maguen David) and the local Chabad rabbinate under Rabbi Simantob Nigri.
