🇭🇺Kosher Restaurants in Hungary

Budapest has one of Central Europe's most vibrant kosher scenes, concentrated almost entirely in the historic Jewish Quarter of District VII (Erzsebetvaros) around Kazinczy, Dob, Wesselenyi, Nagy Diofa and Sip streets. A tourist magnet built around the Dohany and Kazinczy Street synagogues, the district has seen a genuine boom in kosher openings, from meat restaurants and Israeli street food to dairy cafes, bakeries and an ice cream shop. Supervision comes mainly from two bodies: the Chabad/EMIH community under Rabbi Baruch Oberlander and the historic Autonomous Orthodox Jewish Community (Kehila), with several newer venues carrying Israeli badatz hechshers.
