Kosher Restaurants in Prague
Prague's kosher scene is small but well established, concentrated in and around the historic Jewish Quarter (Josefov) in the heart of the Old Town. The city offers a mix of long-running independent restaurants and Chabad-run eateries covering meat, dairy, and pizza options. Supervision is provided mainly by the Orthodox rabbinate of the Prague Jewish Community (Chief Rabbinate of the Czech Republic) and by Chabad of Prague.
Almost every kosher venue sits within a short walk in Josefov and the adjacent Old Town, clustered around Siroka, Bilkova, Brehova, and U Milosrdnych streets, with the King David hotel restaurant slightly east in Nove Mesto. Most restaurants close Friday early afternoon and remain shut on Shabbat, so plan Friday night and Saturday meals in advance (King Solomon, Dinitz, and the King David hotel take Shabbat reservations). Booking ahead is strongly recommended for Shabbat and holidays.
