Kosher Restaurants in Orlando
Orlando's kosher scene is compact but well developed for a city built around tourism, serving the millions of visitors who come for Walt Disney World, Universal, and the International Drive corridor. Most certified restaurants cluster in the Dr Phillips, International Drive, and Lake Buena Vista areas within a short drive of the theme parks. The great majority carry the RCF hechsher of the Rabbinate of Central and North Florida, the local vaad led by Rabbi Yosef Konikov of Chabad of South Orlando.
Kosher dining is concentrated in two pockets: Dr Phillips and Turkey Lake Road, and the International Drive / Visitors Circle area near Universal, with a bakery option inside Disney Springs. Nearly all venues close Friday afternoon and Saturday for Shabbat, so plan pre-Shabbat takeaway or use a kosher villa community. Chabad of South Orlando on West Sand Lake Road is the hub for minyanim and community information. Both Disney and Universal can also prepare made-to-order kosher meals with advance notice, though these are order-ahead services rather than standing kosher venues.
