The Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and Hallandale Beach corridor of Broward County anchors one of the fastest growing kosher scenes in the United States, fueled by a large resident Orthodox community plus a steady flow of tourists and winter snowbirds near the beaches and Gulfstream Park. Nearly every certified eatery here carries the hechsher of the ORB (Orthodox Rabbinical Board of Broward and Palm Beach Counties), which supervises the overwhelming majority of local restaurants. Options run the full range, from Israeli and Mediterranean grills to pizza shops, sushi bars, steakhouses, and dairy cafes.

Traveler's note

The two densest clusters are the Stirling Road and Griffin Road corridor straddling Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, and Dania Beach, and the West Hallandale Beach Boulevard strip in Hallandale Beach near the Diplomat and Gulfstream Park. Most kosher restaurants close early Friday afternoon and reopen Saturday night after Shabbat, so plan Friday night and Saturday day meals through local synagogues, Chabad houses, or hotel arrangements. A car is very helpful since the kosher spots are spread across several western and coastal neighborhoods rather than one walkable district.
